JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting procurement operations by sourcing and ordering parts from dealerships, processing payments, and ensuring timely communication between suppliers and internal teams. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient purchasing workflows, accurate expense coding, and consistent support for store locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact dealerships and suppliers to source and order required parts in a timely manner
• Process payments for purchases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures
• Track and communicate order status updates to store locations and internal stakeholders
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and order details
• Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses in accordance with company guidelines
• Assist store teams with placing orders and resolving purchasing-related issues
• Follow up with vendors on backorders, delays, and discrepancies
• Build and maintain positive relationships with dealership partners and suppliers
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes and cost efficiencies

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and purchasing/ERP systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with automotive parts or dealership networks
• Familiarity with inventory management or supply chain processes
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and expense coding

Work Environment

• Remote role with MST or PST time zones preferred.
• Frequent communication via phone and email with vendors and internal teams
