Procurement and Material Planner

KBR is seeking a Procurement Planner that is adept at customer service, communication, and planning.  This position requires a problem solving approach and the ability to set daily workday goals, work alongside various internal and external customers to ensure procurements remain on track and are completed as efficiently as possible. As you help us achieve our goals, we make sure we help you achieve yours by providing you with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow in this fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Procure equipment and materials as identified by individual task orders in support of GSMO-3 mission operations and engineering development initiatives

• Find qualified vendors, get multiple quotes with quality clauses included
• Work issues in parallel to expedite the process, calling vendors to check progress, placing orders, receiving orders
• Monitor the status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential problems

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7 + years of procurement experience
• In lieu of formal education 15 years of related procurement experience
• Experience working procurements for Government customers
• Broad understanding of procurement standards, procedures, and regulations
• Experience finding qualified vendors, getting multiple quotes with quality clauses included
• Familiarity with FAR requirements
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-motivated, self-directed and detail oriented

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Manufacturing experience

Basic Compensation:

$120,800 - $181,200

The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate's working location, knowledge, skills, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
