About the Role (your why)
Our Endpoint Engineering team is responsible for creating and maintaining robust desktop Standard Operating Environments (SOE) for our customers, enabling remote support and ensuring standardisation across diverse IT landscapes. As a Senior Endpoint Engineering Specialist, you’ll work closely with customers to transform their businesses in line with cloud-first productivity and collaboration solutions as part of their digital transformation journey. You will also provide expert 3rd-level support, develop ongoing processes, and help drive continuous improvement in customer environments.

Our offices are based in Australia. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!

What you’ll do
At the moment, as Senior Endpoint Engineering Specialist you will be focused on:

  • Designing and maintaining modern SOE architectures for multiple customers
  • Working with customers to deliver cloud-first productivity and collaboration solutions
  • Developing processes to standardise support and maintenance across environments
  • Providing 3rd-level support and acting as an escalation point for complex desktop issues
  • Proactively managing and maintaining customer SOEs and supporting infrastructure
  • Delivering project tasks accurately and efficiently and contributing to project reporting
  • Guiding and mentoring team members to resolve technical challenges
  • Ensuring a health and safety culture in line with Datacom policies

We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs

What you’ll bring

Required experience:

  • 5+ years of related experience in endpoint engineering and SOE management
  • Knowledge of hardware and software vendor support processes, including product lifecycles
  • Advanced end-user management skills alongside modern and traditional SOE methodologies
  • Intermediate project management principles and Office 365 skills
  • AWS Workspaces exposure
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build customer relationships and deliver solutions in line with organisational goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Technology, or related discipline
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

Nice to have:

  • Development qualifications with understanding of Full Software Development Lifecycle and version control
  • Specialisation certifications in Microsoft Messaging, Lync, SharePoint
  • Citrix certifications — CCP-V, CCP-N, CCP-M or other relevant specialisations
  • Experience in large-scale collaborative environments
