Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a skilled SAP Basis Administrator with expertise in cloud migration to join our team. As part of our SAP S/4HANA migration initiative to the cloud, the SAP Basis Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless transition, optimal performance, and ongoing stability of our SAP landscape. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills in SAP Basis administration, combined with a deep understanding of cloud platforms and migration methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain SAP S/4HANA during migration ensuring high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
- Maintain SAP and DB performance by planning and executing SAP and DB tuning strategies.
- Set up the new SAP S/4HANA environment in the cloud, ensuring proper configuration, and addressing any compatibility issues.
- Collaborate with the project team to facilitate the smooth migration of data from on-premises systems to the cloud.
- Ensuring that the SAP S/4HANA system in the cloud performs optimally and addressing any performance-related challenges.
- Implementing and validating security measures to protect data during and after migration.
- Coordinate system copies, refreshes, and client exports/imports as needed.
- Collaborate with the SAP Cloud Migration Architect to understand migration requirements and objectives.
- Contribute to the development of a detailed migration plan, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.
- Execute the migration plan, utilizing SAP migration tools and cloud-specific methodologies.
- Optimize SAP configurations for cloud environments to ensure efficient performance and resource utilization.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams to address performance bottlenecks and enhance system responsiveness.
- Implement and maintain security measures in the SAP landscape, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and ensure a secure SAP environment in the cloud.
- Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems in the cloud.
- Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in SAP Basis administration are a plus.
- Proven experience of 6+ years as an SAP Basis Administrator with a focus on SAP S/4HANA.
- 2+ years of experience in cloud migration
- Experience in any SAP S/4 HANA modules (PM, HCM, PP, PS, FI, CO, SD, IM etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis administration, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP NetWeaver.
[GM1] - Experience in SAP system migrations, preferably to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with SAP cloud migration tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of SAP security concepts, user management, and authorizations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on documentation and adherence to best practices.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- English B2+ is mandatory
- SAP certification is desirable but not necessary.
