Finance Business Project Manager with M&A experience looks very similar to an accounting-focused PM—but with a broader, more strategic finance lens. They typically sit between FP&A, corporate finance, and executive leadership, driving the financial side of deals and integrations.

·       FP&A Analyst / Manager

·       Corporate Finance Manager

3. Project Management

·       Owns finance workstreams across large initiatives:

o   M&A integrations

o   Finance transformation

o   ERP implementations tied to finance

·       Responsibilities include:

o   Timeline and milestone tracking

o   RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)

o   Cross-functional coordination (Finance, IT, HR, Legal)



4. Systems & Tools

·       ERP / Financial systems:

o   SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday Financials

·       Planning tools:

o   Adaptive, Anaplan, Hyperion

·       Reporting:

o   Excel (advanced), Power BI, Tableau
