This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.
The School Psychologist provides a full range of school psychological services including screening and assessment, designing remedial educational programs, counseling with staff, parents, students and outside agencies, parent and teacher interventions and data analysis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensures all newly received special education documents are compliant, and if not compliant, take the necessary steps to ensure compliance; Ensures all existing documents are compliant with the guidelines set forth by the State of Ohio; Ensures meeting deadlines to ensure compliance.
Administers academic assessments to currently enrolled students.
Educates parents and staff on findings; Educates staff on needed data for evaluations.
Holds meetings with IEP team.
Interprets data related to special education students and students being evaluated.
Provides professional development to staff, as necessary.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Flexible schedule; Ability to travel up to 75%.
Ability to pass required background check.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
State of Ohio School Psychologist Licensure
Master’s degree in School Psychology
1 or more years’ practical experience with school psychology departments
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3 or more years in a School Psychologist role
WORK ENVIRONMENT: These work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The noise level in the home office is usually moderate (computers, printers, light foot traffic, household appliances, and household distractions).
The noise level at meeting locations throughout the state are typically moderate and should not vary much from what is experienced in the home office.
