Job Title: Senior Consultant – Retirement Technology Transformation

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to drive technology transformation initiatives for U.S. retirement platforms. This role blends deep domain expertise with modern architectural practices to enhance operational efficiency, reduce cost per participant, and enable large-scale cloud and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide deep domain expertise across U.S. retirement products and plan structures.
  • Lead modernization initiatives for recordkeeping platforms.
  • Drive “hollow-the-core” strategies and support cloud migration efforts.
  • Design and enhance digital experiences for participants, sponsors, and advisors.
  • Optimize end-to-end retirement value chain processes including payroll integration, contributions, and distributions.
  • Architect and manage integrations with TPAs, trustees, payroll providers, and advisory platforms.
  • Define and implement data, reporting, and analytics architectures (ODS, enterprise data platforms).
  • Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, automation, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the U.S. retirement/recordkeeping domain.
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one recordkeeping platform (e.g., FIS Omni, SS&C TRAC, Relius, or custom-built systems).
  • Deep understanding of defined contribution (DC) plans such as 401(k), 403(b), and 457 plans.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including ERISA and SECURE 2.0.
  • Familiarity with key retirement-related contracts and documents, including Adoption Agreements, Service Agreements, Loan Policies, Fee Schedules, and Trustee Agreements.
  • Expertise in modern technology architectures including cloud, APIs, microservices, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Proven stakeholder management and consulting skills with the ability to engage business and technology leaders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading large-scale digital transformation programs in retirement or financial services.
  • Exposure to multi-vendor ecosystem integrations (TPAs, payroll providers, custodians).
  • Knowledge of data architecture patterns such as data lakes, real-time streaming, and advanced analytics platforms.
  • Experience with automation technologies (RPA, workflow orchestration).
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
