Job description

We currently have an exciting remote opportunity for an experienced inpatient SMART Auditor. This position offers the best of both worlds: the challenge and reward of using and growing your coding expertise, combined with the flexibility and convenience of working from home.

Position Overview:

As a SMART Auditor, you’ll be responsible for conducting inpatient coding reviews and SMART audits, as well as providing feedback and education. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to quality, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to change.

Qualifications:

RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification required
2–3 years of recent inpatient coding and auditing experience in an acute care setting
Experience with the SMART Audit tool is essential
Strong technical skills, including experience with VPNs, multi-factor authentication, and video conferencing tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook (email and calendar) and Excel
A consistent, reliable work schedule and punctual attendance
Ability to meet productivity goals while maintaining 95%+ coding accuracy
