The Opportunity
As an ISG advisor in the public sector, your focus will be on digital business building – shaping the future of our client’s businesses and creating transformative strategies to validate, launch, and scale new digital business models, products, and experiences.
You can expect to spend your time leading small to medium-sized client engagements or participating as a key contributor on large or mega-deal engagements, working on digital topics, initial assessments, digital and sourcing strategies, implementation plans, provider research and selections, financial modelling, RFx development, contract negotiations and client stakeholder engagement and management.
*Applicants who are considered for the Public Sector must be Australian citizens to qualify for an Australian Commonwealth security clearance.
The Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysis – gain understanding of client’s current situation and environment by gathering needed information and using appropriate frameworks and models in the development of assessment material for decision-making purposes
- Advisory – provided to clients and service providers in areas of outsourcing, project management, financial modelling, executive relationships, leadership, negotiation, administration, and change management using ISG methodology and tools in support of client sourcing initiatives
- Project management – lead the planning and development of all project deliverables and assume overall responsibility for staffing, budget, work plans, scope, project milestones, issues management and risk management, utilising ISG’s project management methods, tools, and templates
- Team development including recruiting, mentoring/coaching junior team members, providing timely feedback on their deliverables, and helping them understand ISG corporate culture as well as helping them establish professional networks

The Role Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Up to 7 years recent experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Digital transformation
- DevOps
- Cloud services
- End user technologies
- ICT sourcing strategy development and execution
- ITSM and SIAM
- Telecommunications and managed network services
- Experience focused on organisational transformation activities including shared services, operational improvement, and outsourcing/offshoring
About You
Our ideal candidate will need:
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management including senior leaders
- Strong attention to detail and highly developed analytical skills
- Strong commercial acumen – developing business cases, presenting funding and investments models, understanding of client budgets, and completing commercial offerings
- Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities through to executing high-quality deliverables
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of MS-Office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
Your Education
- A relevant undergraduate degree
- MBA/Masters or other advanced degree(s)/qualifications desirable
