Job description

Engineering Industries eXcellence is seeking a German speaking (C1+) Insight Hub Solution Architect, based anywhere in Europe (100% remote), who will be responsible for designing and delivering end‑to‑end Industrial IoT solutions on Siemens Insight Hub (MindSphere). The role combines solution architecture with hands‑on technical implementation, including connectivity setup, asset/data modelling, platform configuration, and system integration. The architect collaborates closely with OT, IT, and business stakeholders to build secure, scalable, value‑driven digital manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design end‑to‑end architectures for data ingestion, processing, analytics, dashboards, and enterprise integrations.
Actively participate in the technical implementation with our team: configure Insight Hub tenant, IAM, asset model, time series, rules/alerts, retention, and monitoring.
Set up and validate connectivity using MindConnect Agents/Gateways over OPC UA, S7, Modbus, MQTT.
Support or supervise development of custom applications (React/TypeScript, Mendix) and lightweight microservices.
Integrate Insight Hub with MES/MOM (e.g., SAP DM, Siemens Opcenter), ERP (S/4HANA), CMMS/EAM systems, and identity providers (Azure AD).
Ensure solution security, data quality, performance, and operational readiness.
Lead workshops, align stakeholders, and act as the primary technical contact throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

Solid hands‑on experience with Siemens Insight Hub (asset modelling, ingestion, IAM, dashboards, rules).
Industrial connectivity expertise: OPC UA, S7, Modbus, MQTT; PLC/SCADA tag mapping.
Cloud and integration knowledge: REST APIs, OAuth2/OIDC, JSON, Azure/AWS fundamentals.
Familiarity with app development technologies (React/TypeScript or Mendix) and microservices.
Basic DevOps knowledge: CI/CD pipelines, containers, monitoring, logging.

Functional Skills

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and KPIs (OEE, downtime, quality, maintenance workflows).
Experience with MES/MOM systems, ideally Siemens Opcenter.
Ability to lead business workshops and translate business requirements into technical architectures and value-driven solutions.

Soft Skills

Fluent German (C1+) and strong English communication skills.
Confident facilitator of technical and business workshops.
Structured, autonomous, and solution-oriented working style.

Experience

5+ years implementing industrial IoT or cloud solutions.
3+ complete Insight Hub implementations from design to go‑live.
Experience collaborating with both OT and IT teams in European manufacturing environments.
