At Advocate Health, we are committed to redefining care through compassion, innovation, and collaboration—while supporting the communities we proudly serve.

What You Will Do:

Develop and execute advanced, innovative recruiting strategies to proactively engage both active and passive candidates for a defined functional area within a large, complex, matrixed organization. Partner closely with hiring leaders to assess short‑ and long‑term workforce needs driven by business growth, turnover, and strategic priorities, and recommend effective hiring solutions. In collaboration with the sourcing team, create and leverage advanced social media and sourcing methods to build and maintain a diverse, high‑quality pipeline of candidates.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute recruitment strategies; screen, interview, and select top talent for assigned functional areas while managing recruitment service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Partner with talent acquisition colleagues to support recruitment strategies for pivotal and hard‑to‑fill positions.

  • Build and maintain strong consultative relationships with hiring managers and HR partners; advise leadership on workforce planning, hiring strategies, and talent solutions.

  • Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, including identifying hiring needs, interviewing candidates, recommending finalists, extending offers, coordinating relocations, and evaluating hiring outcomes.

  • Proactively identify recruiting and sourcing challenges that impact the organization’s ability to attract and retain qualified, diverse talent; design and implement effective solutions.

  • Ensure recruitment and sourcing strategies align with client needs and reflect best practices for quality, efficiency, and timeliness.

  • Analyze recruiting metrics, trends, and outcomes in partnership with the sourcing team; present insights and recommendations to hiring leaders, operational leadership, and HR partners.

  • Lead special recruitment projects, campaigns, initiatives, and workgroups; drive continuous process improvement and share best practices to promote consistency and efficiency.

  • Mentor and coach team members by sharing successes, tools, and effective recruitment strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in human resources, including proactive sourcing and recruiting for complex, hard‑to‑fill roles in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

  • Healthcare or Medical/Ambulatory Group Recruitment Highly preferred.

  • WorkDay experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced expertise in developing and executing creative, proactive sourcing strategies to engage passive and active candidates.

  • Proven success building high‑quality candidate pipelines under tight timelines for critical roles.

  • Strong consultative skills with demonstrated experience advising hiring leaders on business and staffing needs.

  • In‑depth knowledge of recruiting, screening, interviewing, and workforce planning strategies.

  • Advanced proficiency with social media platforms, internet sourcing tools, search engine optimization, and complex Boolean searches.

  • Working knowledge of compensation, benefits, general HR functions, and applicable state and federal labor laws.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills with a high level of professionalism.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong technical aptitude to leverage multiple tools and platforms for candidate engagement.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, manage multiple deadlines, solve problems creatively, and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
