This position will be fully remote. M-F 8am-5pm with occasional evening and/or weekend based on deadlines.

$63.45 - $95.20JOB SUMMARY
Leadership responsibility for a significant program or functional area in a department, institute, division that has organizational impact. Plans, coordinates, and manages all aspects for grant writing, manuscript writing and other required documents, as well as qualitative research and analysis for the Dean of the SOM and Director of the Maya Angelou Research Center for Healthy Communities (MARCH), maintaining collaborative and effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues and associates.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) with eight years of progressive and applicable experience in the area to be served required; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience. Significant experience and documented success in setting strategic direction and delivering on objectives for a business unit, company or academic unit.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for the overall administration and coordination of grant and manuscript writing for the Dean of the SOM research program and MARCH. Serves as the expert for the program or functional area.
2. Continuously analyzes systems and processes while identifying and tracking relevant RFAs as well as manuscripts throughout the submission process. Develops and implements best practices and appropriate changes to improve outcomes in a timely manner.
3. Creates evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determines the need for improvements/edits to documents for resubmission.
4. Plans/Leads/Conducts qualitative research and analysis for research projects.
5. Assists leaders with budget needs and planning.
6. Ensures program and functional area operations and activities adhere to any legal guidelines and internal policies.
7. Keeps senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
8. Develops appropriate communication and communication methods to facilitate the flow of information and maximizes effective communication throughout the program.
9. Facilitates and/or conducts individual and group presentations as needed.
10. May supervise the work and manage performance of assigned staff such as responsibility for work assignment, performance reviews, and personnel change recommendations.
11. Participates in committees as appropriate.
12. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
