Job Summary

They are is seeking a highly motivated individual with a hunter mentality to develop and expand thier presence in the Texas construction surety markets. This is a great opportunity for somebody looking to jumpstart their career. They will live in Massachusetts for 1 year fully paid relocation both ways to get trained and then return home fully remote. Become an integral part of the municipal and construction ecosystem in your assigned geography by being known as the Bond Advisor of choice. Develop strong relationships with local companies and the construction clients you serve.

Responsibilities

  • Territory Development
    • Build and execute a territory development plan for Texas construction markets
    • Identify and engage contractors requiring performance and payment bonds
    • Develop relationships with construction companies, CPAs, attorneys, and industry referral partners
    • Establish a strong pipeline of new bonding clients
  • Consultative Sales
    • Conduct financial and operational discovery with contractors
    • Educate contractors on bonding capacity, underwriting requirements, and financial best practices
    • Establish and structure bonding programs with surety partners
    • Position Surety Bond Professionals as a strategic advisor rather than a transactional broker
  • Business Development
    • Prospect through industry associations, contractor networks, trade events, and referrals
    • Build relationships with surety underwriters and carriers
    • Develop strategic partnerships with professionals serving the construction industry
    • Maintain a disciplined CRM pipeline and prospecting cadence
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating bonding requirements
    • Coordinate with internal underwriting support staff
    • Ensure timely delivery of bid bonds, performance bonds, and related surety instruments

Qualifications

  • Required Experience
    • 2+ years of sales experience in the Municipal, State, or Federal construction markets
    • Existing relationships in Texas construction markets
  • Preferred Experience (Not Required)
    • Familiarity with financial statement analysis for contractors
    • Understanding of surety underwriting processes a plus
    • Proven experience working with contractors requiring bonding programs a plus
    • Experience building a new book of business

MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO MASS for 1 year for training. RELOCATION Expense paid both ways.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 plus commission. Abilityto be between $200k-$300K in just 3 years.

Benefits include ESOP Company, 100% Health Insurance (dental & vision optional), 401k, 3% match.
