Job description

The Events Planner II, Temporary plays a vital role in supporting the Air National Guard's Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) at the Wing, State, or Region level. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing YRRP training events, ensuring Service Members and their families have access to the program's resources and information throughout the deployment cycle. This position is remote, with approximately 25% travel.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property. 

  • Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract  

  • Travel up to 25%. 

  • Prior experience supporting Department of Defense well-being programs is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word, OneNote, and Adobe Acrobat Pro is preferred.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the followingOther duties may be assigned. 

  • Provide comprehensive event planning and coordination services.

  • Deliver administrative support for registration and planning of contracted events.

  • Collaborate with Event Supervisors to track deliverables and product due dates.

  • Support Event Supervisors in the facilitation and execution of events.

  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of assigned events.

  • Travel to proposed and selected event venues as required.

  • Prepare and submit detailed end-of-event reports.

  • For Air National Guard (ANG) Yellow Ribbon events, provide all required labor, materials, equipment, and administrative services necessary for successful execution.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Social Science, Education, Management, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience developing, implementing, and coordinating programs; or an equivalent combination of education/experience.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusExposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $65,000 to $72,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
