Roles & Responsibilities

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer designing and maintaining data pipelines, data quality, and reliability
Cloud experience with GCP or AWS (GCP experience is a plus)
Hands-on data orchestration, ETL/ELT, and data lake/lakehouse concepts
Infrastructure as Code familiarity (preferably Terraform) and comfort working in a version-controlled IaC environment

Requirements:

Design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise-grade data pipelines and data lake/lakehouse architectures
Ensure data quality, reliability, monitoring, and governance across data platforms
Implement and optimize data orchestration and ETL/ELT processes to enable efficient data access for analytics and ML
Work in a cloud environment (GCP/AWS) and apply IaC practices (Terraform) to manage and deploy infrastructure

About the Project

Our client is an AI‑driven Pharma-Tech American company focused on discovering, designing, and developing better medicines using advanced data science. The team is building scalable and maintainable enterprise‑grade solutions used in precision cancer medicine.

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineering (designing and maintaining data pipelines, data quality, reliability).
Cloud: commercial experience with GCP or AWS (GCP is a plus).
Data orchestration: hands-on understanding of orchestration patterns and tools.
ETL/ELT and strong understanding of data lake / lakehouse concepts
Infrastructure as Code: at least “familiarity” (preferably Terraform) and comfort working in an IaC approach (version-controlled infrastructure).
Python as the main working language.
Databricks or Snowflake
Located in Czechia, Slovakia or Hungary
Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

Prior experience with Bigquery/GCS

Start date: April 2026
Workload: full-time
Location: Czechia, Slovakia or Hugary (remote within these countries only - please note, that candidates outside of these countries will be not considered)
B2B contract
Salary: 5.700-8.300 CZK/MD (250-340€)
