What We’re Looking For
Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator to join our team! The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator is responsible for assuring the agencies’ compliance with state contractual requirements and national accreditation standards. This position is responsible for various quality assurance file reviews and quality improvement job activities throughout the organization. This employee will provide guidance and support to other Quality Management staff as needed. In addition to performing accreditation/compliance auditing activities, this position also supports the day-to-day operations of the Quality Management Department, such as managing committee support, data analysis/reporting, training, and other tasks as assigned.
On a typical day, you might:
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Federal Medicaid regulations, State rules and accreditation standards, and Trillium contractual requirements through ongoing review of documents such as contracts and manuals.
- Support the quality management department with the organization’s achievement and on-going maintenance of national accreditation. This may include participation in workgroups, interpretation of standards, identification and development of systems to meet minimum standards, scheduling and conducting reviews of the organization and any needed follow up as a result of those reviews.
- Assist with internal monitoring and evaluation of activities as needed to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and State requirements. In collaboration with other functional areas of the organization this position is responsible for measuring and tracking various performance indicators through ongoing assessment of the organization. When necessary, participate in the Quality Improvement Committee as a non-voting member.
- Develop audit tools (internal + external) based on requirements defined by DMH/DHB, CMS- Federal regs, and/or NCQA guidelines.
- Collaborate cross departmentally for TCL file reviews to ensure that network providers are monitoring for compliance with standards.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years of experience working with BH/MH/SU/IDD members and/or in the BH/MH/SU/IDD system; OR
- Associate’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of experience working with BH/MH/SU/IDD members and/or in the BH/MH/SU/IDD system; OR
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with BH/MH/SU/IDD members and/or in the BH/MH/SU/IDD system; OR
- Equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must reside within North Carolina.
- Must be able to travel within catchment as required.
Preferred:
- Human Services degree.
- Experience in a managed care environment. Previous experience in a QA/QI related position and previous participation in a national accreditation process are both highly preferred.
