Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support a critical offshore engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable data pipelines, optimizing data architectures, and handling large-scale data processing systems.

This role requires working in the US shift and collaborating with global stakeholders, ensuring high performance, reliability, and data quality across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
  
• Develop and optimize data architectures and data models
  
• Work with large datasets across structured and unstructured sources
  
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization
  
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and cross-functional teams
  
• Implement data security and governance standards
  
• Monitor and troubleshoot production data issues
  
• Participate in code reviews and best practices implementation
  

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  
• Strong programming skills in Python / Java / Scala
  
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks
  
• Strong experience with SQL & NoSQL databases
  
• Expertise in data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.)
  
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
  
• Good understanding of REST APIs & Microservices architecture
  
• Experience with Git/version control systems
  
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
  
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, etc.)
  
• Experience in real-time data processing
  
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  

 Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Excellent communication skills (mandatory for US shift collaboration)
