Job description

Location: Remote in Manila, Philippines (required to meet the team in-person once a month)
Hours: 40 hours per week (for example, 9:00am-5:00pm or 10:00am-6:00pm or 11:00am-7:00pm depending on business needs)

FUGA works at the forefront of music distribution technology, connecting its clients with digital service providers like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and TikTok - while helping them get the most from their music, whether that’s with award-nominated label services, industry-leading revenue accounting, or using FUGA’s suite of best-in-class products.

We are currently looking to grow our Content Operations team with a new team member focused on quality assurance and metadata validation for digital music releases. This is an excellent entry-level position for someone looking to kick-start their career in the music distribution and technology space. Although this is a junior role, our Content Operations team employs people at multiple levels of seniority beyond that, so this position will set you up for growth opportunities.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Attention to Detail

  • Exceptional accuracy in reviewing metadata, audio files and digital assets to ensure consistency, compliance and high-quality standards across all releases

Digital Tools Proficiency

  • Competent in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) with a strong ability to organise, track and report content-related data

Music Industry Familiarity

  • Background in music education, music production, or prior experience in music content management, marketing, or digital distribution is highly desirable
  • Understanding of DSP (Digital Service Provider) ecosystems like Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music

Flexibility & Time Management

  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and possible changes in shifts (as required) in a fast-paced, international music distribution environment


What You Do:

  • Work as part of a larger team responsible for the quality of digital releases which are being sent to digital service providers (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) worldwide
  • Review and validate metadata and digital music assets, including audio files, artwork and release information, to ensure they meet internal standards and DSP-specific guidelines
  • Answer client content queries within our internal ticketing platform, adhering to team SLA requirements
