Job Title: Technical Merchandiser – E-Commerce (Shopify)

Schedule: Full-Time (PST Hours Preferred)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Technical Merchandiser (Shopify) to join our growing activewear and lifestyle apparel brand. This role combines creative merchandising with technical execution — perfect for someone who’s as comfortable coding a Shopify section as they are curating a homepage layout.

You’ll support daily and seasonal site updates, ensuring that every product launch, collection refresh, and homepage build is visually compelling, technically sound, and aligned with brand goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily and seasonal site merchandising, including homepage builds, collection updates, and content refreshes.
• Manage Shopify theme updates and customizations using Liquid, HTML/CSS, and native Shopify settings.
• Coordinate with creative and marketing teams for image assets, product banners, and campaign content.
• Assist in content planning and scheduling to ensure timely and accurate product and campaign launches.
• Maintain visual consistency across the site, ensuring imagery, copy, and layouts align with brand identity.
• Troubleshoot front-end issues, test new features, and work with developers on advanced implementations.
• Monitor site performance and conversion-impacting elements, recommending ongoing optimizations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in eCommerce merchandising or site operations, ideally in apparel or lifestyle.
• Proficient in Shopify, with working knowledge of Liquid, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience managing theme updates, homepage builds, and product uploads.
• Strong visual sense and attention to detail in merchandising and layout design.
• Skilled in working with creative assets, image optimization, and content coordination.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Figma, Klaviyo, or project management tools (Asana, Trello).
