Product Development Specialist (Skincare)

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm PST

Contract: 3 to 6 Months with a strong change to be extended to long term

Location: 100% Remote

Payment: Open to be negotiated depending on experience

We’re looking for a Temporary Product Development Specialist who is passionate about skincare, experienced in end-to-end product creation, and has strong relationships with a network of manufacturers and labs.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the end-to-end product development process for new skincare launches — from ideation, formulation, and testing to packaging and production.
• Leverage your existing relationships with manufacturers, labs, and raw material suppliers to drive product development timelines forward.
• Own all aspects of project management — ensuring deadlines, budgets, and product specs are met.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, regulatory, and design teams to align on product positioning, compliance, and go-to-market plans.
• Stay on top of skincare trends, ingredient innovations, and consumer insights to inform product decisions.
• Ensure all products meet regulatory and quality standards across markets (FDA, EU, etc.).

Requirements

Who You Are:

• 5+ years of experience in product development within the skincare or beauty industry.
• Proven track record of bringing successful skincare products to market.
• Strong relationships with domestic and international manufacturers, labs, and suppliers.
• Deep knowledge of skincare formulation, ingredients, packaging, testing, and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills — able to manage multiple products at once.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Passionate about beauty, wellness, and clean skincare innovation.
