  • Coordinate Open Enrollment, including planning, communications with vendors, and training; build and maintain tracking/audit systems; serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries and vendor relationships.

Position Overview:

The Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting the day-to-day administration and analysis of OCHIN’s benefits and compensation programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, retirement plans, and compensation strategies. The Business Partner collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and People Operations Partners to enhance overall employee experience, promote equity, and support a culture of excellence and innovation. Additionally, this role provides exceptional customer service to employees, assisting with benefits-related inquiries and processes, while ensuring the ongoing evaluation and optimization of total rewards offerings to meet organizational and employee needs.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, communication and administration of OCHIN’s Total Rewards offerings, including benefits, compensation, and leave programs. Maintain HR systems for benefits and compensation data, and deliver benefits orientation to new hires. 
  • Perform compensation and benefits analysis, pay equity analysis, market analysis to ensure OCHIN remains competitive. Participate in compensation and benefits surveys, manage survey submissions, and recommend adjustments to programs based on market trends and legislative updates.  
  • Ensures all benefit and compensation programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure benefits programs meet all federal and state regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation.  
  • Coordinate Open Enrollment, including planning, communications, vendor updates, and employee training. Build and maintain tracking systems to monitor program effectiveness, conduct audits and analysis of total rewards programs, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across benefits and compensation systems. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and vendor relationships related to benefits, compensation, and leave programs. Collaborate closely with Finance, People & Culture, external brokers, and benefits vendors to support seamless program administration, effective pay decisions, and the promotion of wellness initiatives. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Requirements
  • Certifications in any of the following areas are preferred: SHRM-CP, CEBS, CCP, or CBP, SPHR. 

Base Pay Overview 

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. Pay information by position level is listed below. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data. 


Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations/teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.  
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.  
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.  
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely. 
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices. 
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN’s business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train. 

Work Location and Travel Requirements 

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position. 

Work from home requirements are: 

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment 
  • High Speed Internet Service 
  • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace 
  • Travel required up to 20% nationally for on-site Go Live support based on business requirements for OCHIN 
  • (OR) Travel may be required nationally based on business requirements for OCHIN
