Senior Data Engineer | Azure Data Platform, Power BI & PySpark | Remote in Mexico

 We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a remote, long-term engagement. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and can translate business requirements into robust analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines on the Azure platform using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and PySpark.
• Develop, optimize, and manage Power BI dashboards to support enterprise reporting and data visualization needs.
• Enhance Cosmos processing performance by writing and optimizing Scope Scripts for large-scale data jobs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data pipelines and ensure seamless delivery of analytics and reporting solutions.
• Maintain strong data governance, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance across all systems and processes.
• Translate business requirements into efficient data models, leveraging DAX, dimensional modeling, and Power BI to communicate insights effectively.

Technical Skills Required:

With over 5 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert Application Developer, you must be proficient in the following technical skills:

• Must have: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, SQL, Power BI, Advanced English, DAX
• Nice to have: Cosmos Scope Scripting, PySpark, 
• Optional: Kusto Query Language (KQL)
• Core domains: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Cosmos Scope Scripting, Power BI, DAX, KQL, SQL, PySpark

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Fluent in English (Advanced) C1  - C2

Location & Schedule:

• Remote work from Mexico City
• Work hours Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00
• Advanced English skills are mandatory, and only residents of  Mexico
