Job description

The Job

We are looking for an eager and versatile Sustainability intern to join our growing stichd Sustainability team. Are you good with data and Excel, and do you perform well under pressure? Then this position could be a great fit for you. You will work directly with our Sustainability team, internal and external stakeholders, and will be involved in supplier data collection and exciting sustainability projects on both social and environmental sustainability. You will learn about sustainability in the textile industry, sustainability reporting standards and regulations and implementation of activities.

The team drives sustainability initiatives within the global organization and is overviewing sustainability standards and certification, processes and reporting.

Your Mission

•   Help roll out the annual sustainability reporting campaign by collecting supply chain environmental and social data and report on KPIs.
•   Sending communication, training and guiding suppliers on how to collect and validate operational data before reporting to stichd and following up on the campaign progress.
•   Communicate with 3rd parties and coordinate processes to support our sustainability strategy.

Your Talent

•   HBO or WO level studies, 2nd year or higher;
•   You are available per August or September 2026 for 32-40 hours per week;
•   Minimum of 4 months, 6 months is preferred;
•   You are passionate about sustainability;
•   You enjoy working with multiple teams simultaneously;
•   Proficiency in Dutch and English;
•   A go-getter with a sharp eye for details and perfectionist mentality;
•   Quick learner, eager to grow;
•   Self-starter, proactive, positive attitude;
•   Strong communication skills;
•   Preference: knowledge of environmental or social aspects in sustainability and experience with supply chains and/or external partner communication.

This internship is based in the Netherlands. Working remotely from other countries is not possible.

An internship allowance of €500 per month based on full‑time hours for a higher professional education (HBO) program, and €350 per month based on full‑time hours for a vocational education (MBO) program.
