JOB DESCRIPTION

     

Position: Scheduling Coordinator I Status: Contract

Supervisor’s Title: Team Lead, Scheduling Coordinator 




Primary Goal: The Scheduling Coordinator I coordinates communication with clients and interpreters with the provision of interpretation services, provides first-level issue resolution and acts as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors under general supervision.  

Responsibilities: 


  • Answers phone calls, and triages needs of caller, handling the scheduling of routine and non-complex interpreting jobs
  • Maintains the scheduling email box by reviewing each request and responding timely and appropriately to each request.
  • Approaches requests with a can-do attitude and maintains professional relationships with interpreters and clients
  • Conducts intake of requests for interpretation services, assessing the request against qualifications of existing interpreter pool
  • Works closely within the scheduling system, maintaining business processes, best practices, and performing administrative duties
  • Complies with the scheduling process to keep the requests organized and status up to date with appointment
  • Escalates issues appropriately while gaining experience in problem resolution
  • Covers for lunches/breaks/vacations for other scheduling coordinators
  • Attends scheduled training activities and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of experience in scheduling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a ‘service-first’ mindset
  • Background in customer-facing roles with a demonstrated ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Experience in the healthcare of language services industry preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word
  • Experience with Google Docs and Apple/Mac Operating System preferred
