Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and leadership to understand problems and create detailed specifications for production-ready solutions
  • Develop and launch product enhancements with clients, educate users on new features, and oversee end-to-end delivery to ensure implementation matches specifications; analyze usage data to inform prioritization
  • Manage communications with the technical team and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and effective rollout across the organization

The Role  

Product at Candex means solving our most pressing problems, from launching revenue generating (and client facing) features, to upgrading UI/UX to improve customer experience, to automating and supporting back-office activities.You will own the design of our product enhancements, and help drive the strategy of our product.

Responsibilities

This role entails comprehensively understanding our major issues, building & iteratively refining “specs”, and thinking through the communication & materials needed for new product enhancements :

Problem Identification & Prioritization: 

  • Proactively identify opportunities for product enhancements that could increase the scope of where Candex can be used, improve automation in our product, and increase the value & efficiencies created for our clients

  • Collaborate with leadership to understand their needs, as an input to prioritization 

  • Organize projects and tasks and effectively triage to manage competing priorities

Problem Solving & Design:

  • Collaborate with the right people to fully understand the problem at hand

  • Work with the tech team, design team, and company leadership to solution the problem

  • Collaborate with team members to create “specs” for all projects sent to the technical team for production

Launch & Ongoing Improvement:

  • Develop the right materials to launch product enhancements with clients

  • Identify where clients aren’t leveraging enhancements because they don’t know it exists / how to use it & create communications for them to learn

  • Manage communications with the technical team and oversee the process end-to-end to ensure actual production matches the agreed-upon specifications

  • Analyze data on usage to learn and prioritize

About You 

  • Have a good eye for detail, don’t let things fall through the cracks, and have an amazing memory

  • Know how to start a complicated project from scratch

  • Are extremely organized

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, Power Query; VBA a plus)

  • Have stellar instincts for design & operational processes

  • Can translate business-facing “specs” into something developers can work with

  • Are great with language skills (e.g., good naming, good writing, etc.)

  • Get excited about digging into a problem and do good research

  • Are always thinking how you can improve things

  • Can think in numbers & equations – math is easy and fun for you

Requirements
