As a Public Sector Business Development Representative, reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities while supporting the growth of Quorum’s public sector presence. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who is results-driven and eager to build a career in software sales. This position is considered an individual contributor who collaborates closely with the marketing team and Account Executives to drive company-wide objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Outreach: Design and execute lead generation campaigns via cold-calls, email, and social media to initiate conversations with high-level decision makers.
Prospecting Research: Conduct research to identify and contact prospective clients and key players within the Public Sector.
Meeting Coordination: Schedule quality sales meetings for Account Executives to help hit monthly growth targets.
Strategy Development: Think creatively to develop outreach strategies and generate interest in Quorum’s products from potential clients.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team to strategize outreach and align campaigns with company goals.
Market Expertise: Maintain expert-level knowledge of Quorum’s products, the public affairs and government relations industry, and the competitive landscape.
Tool Management: Leverage communication and research tools including SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, and Salesforce.com to manage the sales pipeline.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a BDR position specifically working in the Public Sector space.
Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding high-volume outreach quotas month-over-month.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build meaningful, collaborative relationships.
Technical Proficiency: Experience using outreach and research tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, or Demandbase.
Self-Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Growth Mindset: An active listener with boundless curiosity and a strong desire to learn B2B sales.
