The Epic Contract Builder, with a focus on physician contracts, is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and testing of payer contracts with the Epic system.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, with specific expertise in physician claims and insurance contracts. 2+ years of experience in Epic contract build, managed care or revenue cycle. Epic Certification is required within the first year of employment.
Key responsibilities:
Build, test, and maintain payer clinic/physician contracts within Epic.
Translate payer agreements into system logic, including fee schedules, reimbursement terms, and payment methodologies.
Validate contract builds through testing and reconciliation against expected reimbursement and payments.
Support analysis of underpayments, overpayments, and billing issues related to contract configuration.
Collaborate with Managed Care, Revenue Cycle, and IT teams to ensure accurate implementation of contract terms.
Maintain clear documentation of contract build logic and assumptions.
Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and optimization efforts related to contract management.
Support reporting and analytics related to reimbursement trends and contract performance.
