IT Systems Consultant to PDSVISION

PDSVISION is continuing their strong growth in the Nordic region and are now looking for an analytical and technically driven IT Systems Engineer to work with installation, configuration and operation of their enterprise‑level PLM environments. This role suits someone with a solid IT foundation who wants to work deeply with servers, databases, performance, security and system integrations in advanced customer environments.

Your Role: IT Systems Engineer

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will work hands‑on in customers’ IT environments with installation, configuration, upgrades and performance tuning of PTC Windchill and other enterprise systems.

This is a backend‑focused role where you will work deeply with:

• Operating systems

• Server environments

• Databases

• Security

• Performance

• Network dependencies

• Component integrations

You will collaborate with experienced colleagues and customer IT teams, ensuring stable, secure and high‑performing PLM infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and upgrade Windchill and related enterprise applications

• Work hands‑on with Windows Server and/or Linux environments

• Perform system migrations, cloning, performance benchmarking and tuning

• Handle certificates (SSL/TLS) and security updates

• Collaborate with customer IT teams on network, hardware and infrastructure requirements

• Troubleshoot complex issues related to connectivity, performance and system availability

• Analyse logs, identify root causes and propose improvements

• Participate in knowledge sharing within the PLM infrastructure team

• Document processes, configurations and system changes

• Ensure high‑quality delivery to customers in technical and security‑sensitive environments

What You Bring

Must‑haves

• An engineering degree (Civilingenjör or Högskoleingenjör), for example within Information Technology or Computer Engineering

• Experience or strong comfort working in Windows Server or Linux/Unix environments

• Understanding of networks, performance, latency and connectivity troubleshooting

• Ability to analyse system behaviour and explain technical issues clearly

• Curiosity, problem‑solving mindset and willingness to learn complex enterprise systems

• Strong communication skills in a Nordic language and English

• A valid work permit in a Nordic country

Nice‑to‑haves

• SQL knowledge (MS SQL Server or Oracle)

• Experience with certificates (SSL/TLS), CA renewal or server security

• Scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash or similar)

• Knowledge of hardware fundamentals (CPU, storage types, performance benchmarking)

• Background as system administrator, system owner or technical superuser

• Familiarity with PLM systems or Windchill (not required – fully trainable)
