Pay Rate Range: $53.20 to $56.56/hr. on W-2.

Job Description:

Our Direct client is seeking a the Marketing Ops Contractor who will provide hands-on support for the ongoing health, optimization, and evolution of our marketing automation ecosystem. This role partners closely with Marketing Operations, CRM, and IT teams to ensure Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics, and related technologies operate reliably, compliantly, and at scale. The ideal candidate brings marketing automation expertise, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting data governance, compliance initiatives, and platform optimization efforts.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused contractor role intended to provide short- to mid-term operational support across marketing automation and data initiatives.

Responsibilities

Marketing Automation & Platform Operations
  • Support day-to-day Marketo platform operations, including monitoring database health and troubleshooting operational programs
  • Assist in monitoring the Marketo ↔ Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) sync and help engage vendor or internal support as needed
  • Support automation-related proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives, including hands-on configuration, testing, and validation under direction from Marketing Operations Manager
  • Assist with the management of operational programs such as automations, lead scoring, and lifecycle processing
  • Help monitor Marketo technical performance, including API usage, integration behavior, database size, and system responsiveness
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, IT, and Analytics teams to support platform configuration and process improvements

Data Management, Quality & Compliance

  • Support ongoing database management, optimization, and hygiene efforts
  • Support privacy, consent, and compliance efforts across Marketo programs, including documentation and optimization of data governance processes
  • Support enterprise deduplication initiatives across Marketo and CRM
  • Conduct field discrepancy analysis, identify duplicate or unused fields, and support field rationalization and sunset efforts
  • Assist with quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems

Systems & Integrations

  • Support marketing technology and system integrations, including troubleshooting data flow issues between Marketo, CRM, and related platforms
  • Assist with integration documentation and support escalation to vendors or internal IT teams as needed


Education, Experience & Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Marketo environment
  • Marketo Certified Expert preferred; equivalent hands-on experience acceptable
  • Experience supporting Marketo system administration, marketing operations, and marketing technology initiatives
  • Experience working with CRM platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics, and supporting CRM–Marketo integrations
  • Experience supporting data governance, compliance methodologies, and database optimization
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and quality assurance practices
  • Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with the ability to support multiple concurrent initiatives
