About this Role:

Consertus is seeking an Office Engineer I to support Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) on the Terminal Development & Improvement Program (TDIP), with a focus on the Wayfinding Project. This role reports to the Wayfinding Project Manager and supports the project team with technical and administrative duties related to construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, meeting documentation, and project record management. This is a fully on-site role at LAX/LAWA project locations from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, daily reports).
  • Track, log, and monitor contractor submittals to ensure timely review and distribution.
  • Prepare, process, and follow up on RFIs; ensure responses are communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate RFI/submittal logs (PMWeb preferred).
  • Distribute documents for review, track comments, compile responses, obtain approvals, and issue formal responses.
  • Coordinate with contractors, design teams, inspectors, and project managers to support consistent information flow.
  • Assist with construction meeting agendas, presentations, minutes, and action item tracking.
  • Support field operations and ensure documentation aligns with field activities.
  • Organize and archive project records in accordance with LAWA standards.
  • Create exhibits/graphics for meetings and presentations as needed.
  • Perform other project support duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PMWeb or similar project management/document control systems.
  • Experience in an operating/active environment (airport experience strongly preferred).
  • Understanding of design and construction lifecycle processes (concept through closeout).
  • Relevant certifications (optional): AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc.

Working Hours & Location: Full-time, exempt role with standard business hours.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Location: Los Angeles, CA (LAWA)
  • This is not a work-from-home position.
  • May require occasional work outside standard hours depending on project needs.

Compensation Range: $83,200 - $91,520 annually; Eligible for Bonus.
