Humana Healthy Horizons in Florida is seeking a UM Administration Coordinator who will contribute to the administration of utilization management. The UM Administration Coordinator performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment and will report to the Supervisor, UM Admin coordinators.

The UM Administration Coordinator:

  • Provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members.
  • Decisions are typically focused on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects.
  • Regularly utilizes judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques.
  • Works utilizing previous experience and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of administrative or technical support experience.
  • Proficiency utilizing Windows based environment & open to learning new systems.
  • Experience utilizing electronic medical record and/or documentation programs.
  • ACHA Level II Background Check is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior member service or customer service telephone experience.
  • Proficiency and/or experience with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes.
  • Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization within a managed care organization.

Additional Information:

  • Workstyle: Home. Home workstyle is defined as remote but will use Humana office space on an as needed basis for collaboration and other face-to-face needs.
  • Work Location: must reside in the state of Florida.
  • Typical work days/hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 PM EST

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$40,000 - $52,300 per year
