About the Role

Team Global Express is looking for a Freight Solutions Supervisor in Banksmeadow (Permanent Full-Time, Mon–Fri 06:00–14:00).

You’ll lead a high-performing team through one of our busiest shifts, ensuring freight is processed safely, efficiently, and compliantly while meeting service standards and operational KPIs. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring clear communication, strong organisation, and accountability across safety, people, and performance.
 

As a Freight Solutions Supervisor, you’ll lead a high-performing team through one of our busiest shifts.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring freight is processed safely, efficiently, and compliantly while meeting service standards and operational KPIs. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring clear communication, strong organisation, and accountability across safety, people, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support the dock team during operations

  • Drive a safety-first culture, ensuring SOPs, CoR, DG, TAPA, RACA, and screening
    compliance

  • Oversee freight flow and resource allocation to meet daily volume and service targets

  • Ensure accurate sortation, scanning, and linehaul dispatches meet departure schedules

  • Maintain detailed shift reporting, KPI tracking, and equipment usage logs

  • Ensure effective handovers with AM & PM operations for continuity

  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues quickly

  • Identify process improvements to drive efficiency and cost control

  • Monitor labour usage and shift structure to support operational budgets

What we are looing for:

  • Proven leadership in transport, logistics, or warehousing (leading hand or supervisor level)

  • Strong understanding of freight handling, safety, CoR, and international
    ABF/Quarantine/customs requirements

  • Clear and confident communicator with strong accountability and follow-through

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise competing demands, and make decisions on the
    fly

  • Basic to intermediate computer literacy (Microsoft Office, freight systems, reports)

  • ASIC card (or willingness to obtain) and full Australian working rights
