As our Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our digital infrastructure by leading the detection, investigation, and response to cybersecurity threats. By monitoring security systems, analysing incidents, and proactively identifying vulnerabilities, you will be the core of our defense against breaches. In addition to technical expertise, you will provide strategic input on improving security posture, guide junior analysts, and collaborate across teams to ensure risks are managed effectively.


What you’ll be doing (in a nutshell):
You are responsible for protecting and hardening a multi-product platform handling sensitive employee, payroll, and rewards data. This role operates in a post-merger environment (Perkbox + Vivup) with evolving threats, where the focus is on reducing real-world risk, preventing abuse, and enabling safe product velocity. In addition to technical expertise, you will provide strategic input on improving security posture, guide the IT team on security projects, and collaborate across teams to ensure risks are managed effectively.

Day-to-day you can expect to:

  • Lead end-to-end incident response for security incidents including fraud, abuse, and platform vulnerabilities 

  • Drive root cause analysis leading to permanent, system-level fixes 

  • Design and implement guardrails to prevent misuse and abuse within the platform 

  • Embed security into product and engineering workflows 

  • Prioritise risks based on real-world impact, not just theoretical severity and be able to communicate this to clients

  • Drive vulnerability management and pentesting, with a focus on exploitability and business impact 

  • Identify and prevent fraud and abuse patterns

  • Align and standardise security practices across all of our client facing SaaS platforms 

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and GRC teams to ensure security is practical and effective 

  • Translate security risks into clear business and financial impact for leadership 

  • Focusing on you specialist knowledge area tickets as a priority

  • Work with the wider IT team on a cycle of constant improvement with a focus on:

    • Automation

    • Efficiency

    • Feature usage

  • Assisting the wider team with more generic tickets and workload

  • Any other reasonable requests

What does success in this role look like and how will it be measured?

  • Reduction in incident frequency and severity 

  • Time from incident detection to permanent resolution 

  • Reduction in fraud and abuse cases 

  • Coverage of critical flows with security guardrails 

  • Adoption of secure-by-design practices across engineering teams 


To be successful, you'll have:

  • Experience in product or platform security (not just SOC or IT security) 

  • Hands-on incident response experience in real-world environments 

  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams and influence technical decisions 

  • Strong judgement in prioritising risk versus noise 

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills 


Bonus points if you bring:

  • Experience in fintech, payments, or benefits platforms 

  • Experience with fraud detection and prevention systems 

  • Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS environments 

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • 60-minute video call with the Hiring Manager and a colleague
