Requirements:

  • Elicit and document business requirements directly from customer stakeholders; create epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; maintain bilingual requirements documentation (Japanese/English)
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs in Japanese; act as primary interface with customer business and IT stakeholders; support consensus building and decision alignment
  • Manage requirements lifecycle including UAT: maintain traceability from requirements to development to testing to acceptance; support UAT planning and execution; validate delivered functionality against business intent
  • Collaborate with Delivery: hand over clean, implementation-ready requirements to the delivery team; respond to clarification questions during development; support change impact analysis and work with the Technical Project Manager

Requirements and responsibilities
 
This role owns business analysis and requirements definition for a major platform modernization program for a Japanese customer.
The Business Analyst is customer-side facing, embedded in Japan, and acts as the voice of the business—translating customer needs into clear, structured, testable requirements for the delivery
organization.
 
What You’ll Do 
 
  • Clear, complete, and unambiguous business requirements
  • High-quality user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Minimal rework due to misunderstood requirements
  • Smooth UAT and business sign-off
  • Strong trust relationship with Japanese stakeholders
  • Business Analysis & Requirements

  • Functional and non-functional requirements
  • Maintain bilingual requirements documentation (Japanese/English)
  • Clarify business rules, edge cases, and constraints
  • Stakeholder Engagement (Japan-Based)
  • Act as primary interface with customer business and IT stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs in Japanese
  • Support consensus building and decision alignment
  • Manage requirement clarification cycles
  • Requirements Lifecycle & UAT
  • Maintain traceability from requirements → development → testing → acceptance
  • Support UAT planning and execution
  • Validate delivered functionality against business intent
  • Support sign-off and acceptance documentation
  • Collaboration with Delivery
  • Hand over clean, implementation-ready requirements to the delivery team
  • Respond to clarification questions during development
  • Support change impact analysis when scope evolves
  • Work closely with the Technical Project Manager (but does not manage delivery)           
 
What You’ll Bring
