Signage Designer (ZR-641)

Horizon Tech is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Signage Designer with hands-on experience in the signage industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design with real-world context—creating visually compelling, production-ready signage solutions across architectural and branded environments. 

This role requires a strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and compliance standards, along with the ability to translate concepts into practical, installable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a wide range of signage including illuminated signs, channel letters, ADA/Braille signage, vinyl graphics, metal letters, and frosted films
  
• Create wayfinding systems and environmental graphics aligned with brand and spatial requirements
• Ensure all designs meet ADA compliance, readability, and safety standards
  
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and fabrication teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy
  
• Prepare files for production including dimensions, material specs, and installation guidelines
  
• Support permitting processes and documentation when required
  
• Optimize designs for cost-efficiency, durability, and scalability across multiple locations

Required Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in signage design, environmental graphics, or related field
  
• Strong portfolio showcasing real-world signage projects (not just digital graphics)
  
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Solid understanding of signage materials, fabrication methods, and installation considerations
  
• Ability to create accurate, detailed, and production-ready files
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with illuminated signage and large-scale signage rollouts
  
• Knowledge of ADA guidelines and local code compliance
  
• Familiarity with permitting processes for signage installations
  
• Basic experience with 3D design tools (e.g., SketchUp)
  
• Experience working with US-based signage standards or clients
