GEHA’s internship program is designed to develop a pipeline for potential full-time opportunities; however, conversion to regular employment is not guaranteed and depends on business need, performance, and available headcount.

The Clinical Dental and Dental Product teams have an exciting opportunity for a shared intern to gain hands-on experience supporting clinical operations and dental product initiatives within a healthcare environment. This internship provides real-world exposure to how clinical standards, benefit design, and product decisions work together to deliver high-quality dental solutions.

The intern will work alongside clinical leaders and product team members to support research, analysis, documentation, and improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in learning how clinical expertise informs dental product strategy and member experience.

Key Duties

  • Support both the Clinical Dental and Dental Product teams on shared initiatives and projects

  • Assist with research, data collection, and analysis related to dental policies, benefits, and clinical guidelines

  • Help document processes, workflows, and clinical or product-related materials

  • Support preparation of presentations, reports, and summaries for internal stakeholders

  • Assist with review and validation of dental product documentation to ensure alignment with clinical standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand how clinical insights influence dental product decisions

  • Participate in team meetings, working sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program

  • 3.0 overall GPA

  • Major in Health Administration, Public Health, Dental Hygiene, Healthcare Management, Business, or a related field

  • Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future

  • Interest in dental healthcare, clinical operations, and product or benefits design

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities

  • Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Potential Projects

  • Support review and documentation of dental clinical guidelines, member engagement programs or clinical or department policies

  • Assist with analysis of dental benefit designs or product features

  • Help prepare educational or reference materials for internal stakeholders

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives that support clinical and product alignment

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.  G.E.H.A considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The hiring range for this position is $43,160 - $54,600 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $60,840 USD. While initial compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications, there is a path to work toward this top rate through performance and continued growth within the organization. The salary range shown represents an annualized full‑time rate. Intern compensation will be prorated to align with the duration of the internship.
