  • Drive new business to hit sales targets across South China, selling Tax enterprise solutions and managing end-to-end sales from prospecting to negotiation and close
  • Respond quickly to new leads and progress deals through the sales cycle with urgency, engaging stakeholders as needed
  • Understand customer requirements and develop proposals within Thomson Reuters Services to differentiate from competitors and develop winning market strategies
  • Maintain disciplined CRM usage to manage customer and opportunity data, provide accurate forecasting, and stay informed on industry policy changes

Business Development Manager

Are you a strong sales hunter who is keen on selling content-led Tax enterprise solutions?

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for securing new Tax solutions sales across South China region. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for end-to-end sales process management, from prospecting to negotiation and close. 

Successful candidate shall be based out of Shenzhen or Guangzhou.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Drive new business to hit sales targets throughout the year.

  • Respond quickly to new leads and working with urgency to progress deals through the sales cycle.

  • Understand customer requirements / needs and find the best solution within Thomson Reuters Services capability to develop a suitable and strong proposal which can create difference from competitors. 

  • Develop winning market strategies that align with the business strategy

  • Effectively plan, coordinate and control your territory.

  • Keep up to date with news and changes in policy, regulations and activities of major players in the industry to have sufficient domain knowledge to lead discussion with customers and present expertise in public. 

  • Use CRM system to maintain customer and opportunity data with discipline to enhance customer insight and ensure accurate forecasting.


About You

You’re a fit for the role of Business Development Manager if your background includes:

  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and ability to prospect, develop and close strategic relationships and customer opportunities to achieve sales.

  • Ability to engage with C-level decision makers.

  • Strong presentation skills both verbal and written.

  • High level of proficiency in using SFDC, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Native Mandarin Chinese fluency is a must.
