Roles & Responsibilities

  • Currently enrolled as a rising senior in a college/university program with a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related major; minimum GPA 3.2.
  • Proven written communication skills with the ability to write short- and long-form copy; strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple remote projects and meet deadlines; strong self-management in a remote setting.
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, up to 40 hours per week; ability to follow brand guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Create innovative and engaging content for social media platforms and revamp current job openings, including development of sharables.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment marketing plan to attract top talent, leveraging employer branding, targeted campaigns, and analytics; track key metrics monthly.
  • Support special events and recruitment marketing campaigns (e.g., Virtual Career Fairs) and research target candidate heat maps to inform communications plans.
  • Maintain databases of sharables and collaborate with managers to build monthly social media analytics and performance reporting (e.g., Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Facebook).

Job description

Our Talent Acquisition team is looking for a Communications and Recruitment Marketing Intern that will play a key role in establishing and streamlining our recruitment marketing plan! You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and develop content for our digital and social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This role will be instrumental in increasing our online presence, attracting candidates to our company, and establishing our brand in the government contractor world.

Major initiatives will include developing social media campaigns for our talent acquisition team, creating sharables, as well as revamping our current job openings. Being innovative and having the ability to bring ideas to life and execute them, as well as solid writing experience, is crucial. 
College students with a Communications, Public Relations, Recruitment marketing, or related major, and an interest in Government Contracting are encouraged to apply.

  • The tools you have experience using for tasks such as social media management (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Canva), content creation, data tracking (e.g., Google Analytics, Excel), and podcast/video editing (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Premiere).
  • Details on your experience editing podcasts or video content, if applicable.
  • Links to any portfolios, social media accounts, or past projects that showcase your work.

Responsibilities will include assisting our team with:

  • Creating innovative and engaging content for social media platforms
  • Database creation and maintenance of sharables
  • Short and long form writing revamping our requisitions 
  • Special events and recruitment marketing campaigns, such as Virtual Career Fairs
  • Research and establish our heat maps for targeting the correct candidates and then executing a Communications plan.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment marketing plan to attract and engage top talent, leveraging employer branding, targeted campaigns, and analytics to optimize results.
  • Track key social media analytics on a monthly basis, including Google Analytics, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Work with Managers to build monthly reporting tools on social media analytics and performance for our hiring needs.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be currently enrolled as a rising Senior in an accreted college or university with a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or related major.
  • Minimum GPA requirement - 3.2
  • Ability to use company brand guide.
  • Proven written communication skills, and a passion for writing both short- and long-copy.
  • Extremely organized with the ability to pay excellent attention to detail – the intern will be expected to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage workloads and meet project timelines in a remote setting.
  • Ability to work M-F, up to 40 hours a week.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with video and audio editing, including podcast production and post-production workflows.
  • Experience working within government contracting environments, including familiarity with compliance, procurement processes, and federal regulations.
