Krizman Law is a criminal defense firm based in Denver, Colorado, driven by a clear mission to break the cycle of the criminal injustice system and help clients reclaim control of their lives.
Clients come to us in moments of fear. Our role is not only to defend them, but to bring clarity, structure, and confidence during one of the most uncertain times they will face.
We operate under a core framework called ROAR:
Relentlessness, Ownership, Adaptability, and Results-Driven execution. We take responsibility for every case, communicate proactively, and do what it takes to move matters forward.
We also believe in proactive, high-touch client service. This means staying ahead of client needs, closing communication gaps, and ensuring no one is left in the dark.
The Paralegal role is critical to delivering this experience. You will be a primary point of contact for clients, helping maintain momentum, manage communication, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
What you’ll do:
- Client Communication: Serve as a primary contact for clients, providing updates and addressing queries with professionalism and compassion.
- Case Management: Proactively manage case progression within Clio, ensuring all deadlines and administrative tasks are met efficiently.
- Drafting Support: Prepare initial templated pleadings and motions such as motions to continue or requests for virtual appearances.
- Attorney Support: Act as a buffer to reduce unnecessary escalations to attorneys, managing day-to-day client interactions effectively.
- Calendar Oversight: Review and manage calendars, anticipating and addressing upcoming needs to ensure smooth case flow.
- AI Collaboration: Utilize the firm’s AI tool to assist with discovery review and analysis, enhancing the efficiency of case preparation.
What we’re looking for:
- Language Skills: Fluent in Spanish and English, with strong communication abilities in both languages.
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in U.S.-based criminal defense law preferred, though candidates with significant exposure will be considered.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Clio, Slack, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Word.
- Relentlessness: You follow through. You don’t wait to be told twice. You don’t let things sit.
- Ownership: You take responsibility for your work and outcomes, not just tasks.
- Adaptability: You can shift priorities quickly without losing clarity or organization.
- Client-Centered Mindset: You understand clients are often operating from fear and need clarity, not just information.
- Remote Readiness: Fully remote role requiring reliable availability from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Able to operate independently in a fast-paced, virtual environment, communicate effectively via Slack and other tools, and maintain accountability without direct supervision.
Why you should work here:
- Impactful Work: Engage in meaningful legal support that significantly affects the lives of clients facing serious charges.
- Professional Growth: Opportunity to work closely with seasoned attorneys, gaining insight and experience in high-stakes criminal defense.
- Autonomy and Ownership: Embrace a role where proactive management and decision-making are encouraged and valued.
- Firm Culture: Become part of a dedicated team that values empathy, communication, and relentless pursuit of justice for every client.
- Compensation: $2,000 - $2,500 monthly
Joining Krizman Law means stepping into a role where your work truly matters. This is not a passive position. You will be expected to take ownership, communicate consistently, and contribute to a team committed to delivering results for clients when it matters most.
If you are ready to bring discipline, empathy, and accountability to your work every day, we invite you to apply.
