We are currently looking for a SAP UI5 Developer

💡 Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile SAP UI5 Developer with a strong focus on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will work closely with SAP HANA developers to build applications that leverage HANA calculation views, exposed via CAP over CDS objects as JSON OData services. You will be responsible for developing the front end for new features, validating UI/UX designs, estimating effort, and implementing solutions. You’ll also support bug fixes and upgrades, manage Node.js packages, and contribute to version control using Bitbucket. The ideal candidate is proactive, able to work independently in one or multiple Scrum teams, and comfortable planning and sizing work while suggesting improvements to processes and solutions.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom SAPUI5 applications on SAP BTP, leveraging modern UI/UX principles.
• Build applications based on SAP HANA calculation views, exposed via CAP over CDS objects as JSON OData services.
• Extend and customize SAP Fiori apps to meet specific business needs.
• Develop and maintain Node.js services components for hybrid SAP applications.
• Debug UI5 applications and manage updates to Node packages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions. Close collaboration with UI/UX designers and a critical view on the feasibility of designs.
• Use Bitbucket (or similar Git-based tools) for version control, including branching, merging, and pull request reviews.
• Participate in Jenkins pipeline setup and deployment processes.
• Optionally contribute to database modeling and SQL development for HANA-based applications..
• Familiar with Implementing and managing roles, role templates and role collections in SAP BTP.
• Work independently in a Scrum/Agile environment, proactively identifying tasks, suggesting improvements, and contributing to sprint goals.

🧩 Required Skills & Qualification

• 2+ years of experience in SAP UI5 and Fiori development.
• Experience with SAP BTP.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
• Familiarity with Jenkins pipelines and CI/CD deployment processes.
• Experience with Git workflows and tools like Bitbucket.
• Understanding of SAP BTP role collections and RBAC configuration.

🧠 Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of SAP HANA Cloud and database modeling.
• Experience with SQL and HANA calculation views.
• Exposure to SAP Business Application Studio or Web IDE.

📚 Experience

• 2 a 4 years of experience in SAP UI5 and Fiori development. (Medior)
• 4 a 7 years of experience in SAP UI5 and Fiori development. (Senior)

🌍 Languages

• English: Fluent (mandatory)
• Portuguese: Nice to have

📍 Location & Availability

• Location: Portugal (remote)
• Availability to travel to the Netherlands 1–2 times per year (1 week)
