LA is seeking an experienced Sr. Designer- MGFX to join our team under a contract expected to run up to 12 months, with the potential for early completion or conversion to full-time based on project needs and performance. In this role, you will be creating a variety of digital assets used to engage and attract consumers on a high-profile streaming platform. You will be working alongside teams of designers, editors, and producers to scale artwork for use in the streaming app.
What You’ll Do:
• You will be responsible for creating and processing large volumes of consumer-facing graphics for use across a television platform
• Composing, animating and leading vendors in daily art reviews of both motion and still graphics—you must be comfortable working in an iterative process
• Creating graphics that require localization, with sensitivity to typography and composition
• Communicating in both individual and group settings as a core part of the role
• Navigating daily art production at a high volume with strong attention to detail
What You’ll Bring:
• Experience creating and delivering broadcast graphics
• Knowledge of insert graphic systems, creation, execution & deployment
• A strong understanding of motion and animation, design & typography principles
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to design guidelines and specifications for a given project
• Experience developing and executing campaigns, with an advanced understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across digital channels and audiences
• Stylistic breadth and fluency in digital design & broadcast design
• Clear and concise communication and strong organizational skills
• Experience working cross-functionally to build artwork scale solutions
• Strong understanding of template usage and batching processes for image exports
• Experience delivering designs across many screen sizes and formats
• Diligence in file-naming structures and file organization
• Ability to work quickly with multiple points of feedback and changes
• Experience with localization on static and motion graphics
• Prior experience in a time-sensitive production environment
• Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process related issues
• Knowledge of sports and its place in popular culture
• Portfolio demonstrating motion reel and design work
• 5+ years of experience in a creative and production environment
• Highly skilled in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and comfortable with Keynote & Sketch
• Experience in making expressions in After Effects
• Experience working with 3D design tools / Cinema 4D is a plus
• Knowledge of scripting is a plus
• Experience working with live production teams

The Pay:
The hourly compensation range for this position is $52.88–$67/hr. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, location, prior experience, and education.
