Key responsibilities:
Provide technical advice and support on Hempel’s product and services to Hempel’s customers while complying to the technical parameters/ specification, practices and procedures
Working with Hempel’s sales and delivering the agreed level of services to the customers in accordance to the agreement while demonstrating strong customers orientation where customers recognizes the value Hempel’s services
Delivering the service and product performance through observation, monitoring (of site work), highlighting (to customers, TS managers and sales) and recording (on corporate reporting) on any deviation to the specification execution.
Evaluate customer needs and recommend the right products.
Assist in complaint handling to ensure efficient complaint resolution and timely closure.
Proactive in advising application and performance related concerns and immediately addressed to external stakeholders in consultation with sales and TS management.
Ensure conforming to Hempel’s reporting guidelines
Able to conduct technical presentation as Coating inspector, make & reviewing for any project administration document related to Painting procedure, reporting and specification which request or need to comply the project requirements.
Analyze problems and implement our coating solutions
Assist in coaching and development of junior staff
Assume team leader and project management role for turnkey projects.
Provide technical training/coaching to Coating Engineers and Coating Advisors, training/coaching to newly joined Coating Advisor.
Key tasks:
Managing the project assigned in accordance with the service level and following on the paint specification and procedures. TS activities with clients on site (70%)
Conforming to departmental and corporate guidelines (10%)
Coaching and mentoring of CEs and CAs (10%)
Self-Learning and Development (10%)
Required education, experience and job-related skills:
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Technical Subject
Able to use and operate Ms. Office and related essential project programme/ software
NACE 2/3 and FROSIO 3 and preferable having Certificate & experience on PFP and Insulation.
At least 5 years experience in delivering services or coatings in shipyard’ or shop line or refineries/plant environment either as applicator, yard or paint maker experience and or has been qualified experience as Coating Engineer with min. 3 year on position.
Strong customers focus and orientation.
Able to travel within short notices and without passport restriction.
Good English competence (written and spoken) with good reporting skills.
Valid driving license
