Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain detailed project financials, including cost, revenue, invoicing, and develop/maintain actuals vs. forecast (hours profiles and projections).
  • Perform Earned Value (EV) analysis across shop, material, and engineering performance tracking.
  • Analyze and quantify financial impacts of schedule changes, scope changes, risks, and opportunities; identify, communicate, and escalate key financial risks.
  • Execute project setup activities in ERP tools and establish/maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS); collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financials with execution.

Job description

We are looking for a Project Analyst to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Project Analyst, you will have the opportunity to drive financial visibility and control across complex engineering and manufacturing programs. In this role, you will own and maintain project financials, analyze cost, revenue, and invoicing, and provide clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making. You will play a key role in identifying risks and assessing the financial impact of schedule changes, execution challenges, and emerging issues. Working closely with Project Managers on cross-functional teams, you will help ensure projects remain aligned, predictable, and positioned for successful execution.

Salary: $59,700.00 - $99,500.00 ​ per year

Your Challenge:

  • Own and maintain detailed project financials, including cost, revenue, and invoicing. Develop and maintain actuals vs. forecast, including hours profiles and projections.

  • Perform Earned Value (EV) analysis, including both shop, material, and engineering performance tracking.

  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) through maintenances of project forecasts and completion estimates for booked and planned orders entered.

  • Analyze and quantify financial impacts of schedule changes, scope changes, risks, and opportunities. Identify, communicate, and escalate key financial risks and performance concerns in a timely manner.

  • Execute project setup activities and ensure ongoing accuracy of project data within ERP tools. Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

  • Collaborate with cross-function teams, including Engineering, Scheduling, Quality, and Sourcing, to ensure alignments between financials and execution.

  • Perform work in accordance with departmental procedures and instructions, CW policies, and safety, environmental, and security rules and guidelines.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or a related field.

  • 1-5+ years of experience in project analysis, finance, or project controls – preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of project financials, including forecasting, cost analysis, and revenue management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Oracle or other similar ERP system.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets.

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance tracking.

  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
