Overview of Role
We are looking for an experienced Marketing & Events Manager to join our team in Geneva for a 7–8‑month maternity cover contract, starting as of 1 August 2026.
The incumbent will join the Corporate Affairs team, which oversees the full spectrum of Marketing and Corporate Communications activities for Rothschild & Co Wealth Management Switzerland and its subsidiaries. Serving as the team’s primary point of contact in Geneva, the role is responsible for planning and delivering high‑quality events, coordinating local marketing initiatives, and strengthening the brand’s visibility across Suisse Romandie. In addition, the Marketing & Events Manager will supervise one intern.
Responsibilities
- Events — Planning, Budget & Logistics: Plan, coordinate and execute a wide range of events and activities for the Geneva office, including exclusive client events, internal workshops, internal gatherings, sponsorship activations and ad‑hoc requests from the Front Office or Management. This includes developing event concepts, project plans, budgets and timelines, liaising with internal stakeholders, vendors and suppliers, and managing communication and all logistics such as venues, equipment, materials, catering, travel arrangements and accommodation to ensure seamless and high‑quality delivery.
- Sponsorship & Brand Visibility: Manage sponsorship activities for the Geneva office and ensure proper brand visibility in line with Rothschild & Co guidelines, while coordinating the related communication and activation opportunities to support local and Swiss‑wide brand initiatives.
- Stakeholder & Front Office Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including the Front Office, clients, vendors, while redirecting Front Office to the appropriate teams and ensuring smooth collaboration and communication with the Corporate Affairs team in Zurich.
- Evaluation, Administration & Team Support: Conduct post‑event analysis to assess attendance, feedback and ROI and identify opportunities for improvement, provide administrative support to the Corporate Affairs department when required, and supervise one intern while contributing to overall team coordination.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field
- Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
- A Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline is an asset
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple events simultaneously
- Excellent skills in English and French (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal skills – must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Proactive attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and reliability
- Team player
- Flexibility, “can-do” attitude, seeking continuous service improvement, high quality standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign is an asset
