The Client Adviser – UK Offshore represents the face of Rothschild & Co’s business. The Client Adviser is responsible for leading both new client acquisition and ongoing client retention, drawing on broad expertise across investments, banking and financial planning.
The successful candidate will focus on acquiring and retaining HNW and UHNW clients either based in the UK or affiliated with the UK. A proven track record in market and product knowledge, combined with strong business development capabilities, is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Ability to formulate and execute a 3–5‑year strategy and business plan, including target AuM.
- Proven track record in building trusted client relationships, acquiring new clients, and delivering excellent service.
- Identify opportunities by liaising with teams across our European locations, particularly in the UK, to ensure seamless service and integrated solutions for clients.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to perform within a highly motivated team; an entrepreneurial attitude and effective teamwork are essential.
- Ability to provide robust financial and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a persuasive and engaging manner.
Experience, Qualifications, Skills and Competencies Required
- 5–10 years of solid business experience in Private Banking, with a focus on UK clients.
- A strong network within the UK business ecosystem is an advantage, particularly where there is a strategic sector or market‑segment focus.
- Strong knowledge of global financial markets, with experience in structuring and managing portfolios across all asset classes.
- Good foundations in financial planning, including tax, legal and estate‑planning knowledge.
- A person of integrity, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility, personal initiative, and a pronounced entrepreneurial mindset, with a drive for continuous improvement.
- A creative approach to identifying investment solutions for clients in challenging market conditions.
- Awareness and understanding of compliance, legal and regulatory requirements across relevant markets.
- Flexibility, curiosity, a proactive ‘can‑do’ attitude, and high interpersonal competence.
