Requirements:

  • Position and promote Kerry’s beverage product portfolio to top 200 foodservice specialty beverage chains and regional accounts on the West Coast, defending and expanding the current base through account penetration and increased menu usage.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new and profitable customized and branded business at targeted accounts by delivering value-added solutions aligned with customer menu needs; establish pricing and market plans to meet objectives.
  • Manage customer relationships at all levels within assigned chain accounts, develop customer strategies aligned with goals and annual operating plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams using Salesforce.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize Kerry technologies, analyze business trends to grow the opportunity pipeline, participate in budgeting, and promote best-in-class service across multi-functional teams.

About the role

As an account manager, you'll be responsible for positioning and promoting Kerry’s beverage product portfolio with a mix of top 200 foodservice specialty beverage chains as well as regional beverage focused accounts located in the west coast.

What will you do?

  • Defend and expand existing base of customized and branded business at current active customers through account penetration and increasing menu usage.
  • Identify opportunities and develop new and profitable collection, customized and branded business at targeted accounts by identifying value added solutions to meet customers menu needs.
  • Establish sales market plans and manage the sales execution to achieve objectives. Manage spending to assure the delivery of sales results within approved spending levels.
  • Manage customer relationships at all levels at assigned chain accounts. Focus on generating profitable business by developing customer strategies that address customer goals, objectives, and culture. Manage customer agreements that deliver against annual operating plans.
  • Provide innovative, customer focused ideas to customers by understanding their brands, platforms and strategies.
  • Manage and orchestrate all customer opportunities and activities, utilizing the appropriate resources to win. This will include a large portfolio of diverse projects across Kerry functions in order to service customers using Salesforce.
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to optimize the use of all pertinent Kerry technologies.
  • Develop and execute on pricing strategies
  • Participate in the development, implementation and achievement of annual budgets.
  • Analyze business trends to develop business growth strategy and manage total opportunity pipeline.
  • Effectively work across multi-functional teams within Kerry to promote and deliver best-in-class service.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree required (food science, business, marketing, or related).
  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing Top 200 Chain Customers in a foodservice sales role.
  • Background in beverage applications (coffee, smoothies, refreshing beverages, teas, energy drinks, mocktails, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Experience managing new product development projects from concept to commercialization
  • Able to integrate written, verbal and presentation skills into the sales process.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
  • Ideally located in the Midwest / West.
  • Availability to travel up to 50%.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $88,100 - $163,700 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and Location. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation. Kerry offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
