Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5 years of retail sales experience with progression in roles that drive retail sales.
  • Proficiency in the retail and fragrance business with understanding of retail partners and store organization, preferably in luxury fragrance/skincare.
  • Experience managing and leading a boutique-style team, with strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Execute the seasonal sales strategy across the territory, partnering with store management and brand specialists to maximize in-store sell-through and customer experience.
  • Lead and develop a boutique-style team (full-time, part-time, and temporary staff) and manage related budgets; recruit, hire, onboard, and train new hires; coordinate events and presell activities with store teams.
  • Plan and negotiate product launches with store managers and departments; prepare seasonal retailer presentations; ensure proper execution of fragrance merchandising guidelines.
  • Monitor competitive activity and stock levels; report weekly, monthly and yearly regional and brand performance; coordinate with Planning to optimize stock and communicate updates to the National Sales Director; act as Brand Ambassador in meetings.

OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for executing the Sales Strategy on behalf of Kering Beauté. This role will provide outstanding client service through proactivity, creativity, and organization.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with Regional Management Team to execute sales strategy of the company and brands, including but not limited to:

SALES RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Champion and drive The Customer Experience by being an example to the Coop and KBA Product Specialists. 
  • Develop Product Specialists to achieve personal sales goals by maximizing productivity via our selling ceremony and  developing partnerships throughout the store to promote our fashion brands via intersell. 
  • Establish seasonal strategy and drives execution across territory.  
  • Manages team of FT/PT and temporary staff. 
  • Establish partnerships with store management and elevated services, (personal shoppers, store stylists, digital stylists, Bridal registry).
  • Responsible for managing T & E budget, as per guidelines from supervisor and submitting expenses in a timely manner. 
  • Prepare and carry out seasonal retailer presentations 
  • Plans and negotiate product launches with store manager, department manager and store team.  
  • Identify opportunities for innovations within local market; including identification of growth to drive volume and brand awareness.  
  • Accountable for event presell and set up in partnership with store teams.  
  • Recruit, hire, onboard and train new hires.  
  • Report on weekly, monthly and yearly total retail performance per region and brand. 
  • Monitor competitive activity and competitive retail performance within fragrance/beauty department 
  • Work with Planning team to identify opportunities with stock levels 
  • Responsible for ensuring all Fragrance merchandising guidelines are properly executed.  
  • Act as Brand Ambassador on behalf of the Fashion Brands by part taking in monthly morning meetings; Department Wide Meetings, Store Wide Meetings, and Out of Home-base Meetings in conjunction with the KBA Management Team and store PS.  
  • Weekly communication with National Sales Director regarding business performance & stock conditions 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5 years of retail sales experience, demonstrating progression in positions that drive retail sales.
  • Proficiency in the retail and fragrance business with an understanding of retail partners and store organization, some of which preferably comes from the luxury fragrance/skincare industry.
  • Experience in and comfortable with working in an intimate boutique style team setting and managing a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent selling, event planning and execution skills, to be used to continually educate and motivate the sales force.
  • Physical ability to move about in store, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, carrying, bending, stretching and twisting, lifting to 25 lbs.
  • Possesses good computer and keyboarding skills and is knowledgeable of various reporting tools and systems to support business needs.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability and willingness to multi-task.
