Position Overview: BLN24 is seeking a DevSecOps Lead to join our team. The DevSecOps Lead will join our project team to enhance and maintain AWS environments, manage cloud performance and security for government clients, including setting up the environment, databases and AWS services, CI/CD pipelines and ensure high availability operations of AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with AWS GovCloud, code deployments, CI/CD pipelines, security, containerization and serverless computing.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and architect government client’s target AWS GovCloud application environment.
Manage team of DevSecOps engineers and provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle. This includes assigning tasks, reviewing code/configuration, and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Architect and engineer AWS GovCloud services utilizing containers and serverless computing.
Build and configure CI/CD pipelines and automated code deployments to target environments
Create Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform to deploy services.
Define and enforce Git branching strategies to support parallel development, release management, and controlled deployments across environments.
Provision and configure AWS Services, such as EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS and other cloud services.
Provide ROMs (Rough Order of Magnitude) and refined cost models for proposals and migrations.
Create and update reference architecture documentation, including specifications and diagrams.
Optimize and harden target environments to ensure seamless operations of highly transactional environment.
Support ATO documentation and security reviews
Provide technology briefings and project status updates for client technical stakeholders
Generate reporting on cloud performance, usage, and cost analysis.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field.
4+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, system, application administration.
Experience with Amazon AWS GovCloud and knowledge of AWS services and structures
Experience with Lambda functions and ability to develop scripts using Python
Experience automating deployments and using AWS services to optimize migration.
Experience with Splunk, New Relic, Crowd Strike, RHEL, Puppet, Jenkins, Fortify and/or Nexus.
Ability to set up databases and migrate data using AWS services.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent architecture skills and ability to develop architecture and AWS diagrams.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
