Job Details

This role is in support of Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora, offering animal health services globally.

The Livestock Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for building relationships and identifying business growth/development with assigned key national livestock accounts. The incumbent is also responsible for contract development with major MWI accounts

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Represent MWI and be responsible for business growth and development with assigned key livestock accounts and other strategic business growth opportunities
  • Identify new business growth opportunities for MWI Animal Health
  • Create and implement business plans to achieve specified sales objectives with an eye on both the long-term and short-term
  • Develops, maintains and effectively utilizes financial acumen to drive increased profitability for MWI and balances these factors against business growth and ability to close deals. Can articulate the value of solutions in terms of the customer’s P&L
  • Oversee contract relationships for major MWI livestock accounts; work with sales operations teams to determine appropriate pricing structures for new accounts
  • Work with contracts team to transition current clients to more formalized contract structure, while ensuring deal profitability and continued customer satisfaction
  • Act as primary point of contact for large, regional accounts, working to quickly address and resolve customer issues
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all accounts, seeking to fully understand the needs of the client and identify how MWI can continue to fulfil customer demands
  • Assertively applies strategic retention and expansion strategies within current customers to enhance account performance (e.g., probability of renewal, technology etc.)
  • Demonstrates distinctive initiative in their own professional development such as keeping abreast of the industry and its changes through the use of industry information and company literature.
  • Utilize available sales technology and tools to enhance sales and provide a superior customer experience
  • Represent MWI and build relationships with assigned manufacturer/vendor partners
  • This position requires extensive travel up to 50%
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

Typically 7 or more years in veterinary sales, marketing or manufacturer experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred. Strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills are essential. High level of computer literacy and systems is necessary, as well as a high level of accuracy and detail orientation. Ability to travel frequently is mandatory.
