Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5-7 years of experience across accounting, procurement, and MIS reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, statistics, project management, business, or a related field
  • Global procurement experience or exposure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) with strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical capabilities (data analysis and IT benchmarking)

Requirements:

  • Oversee end-to-end purchasing, vendor management, and financial compliance to drive cost efficiency, including negotiating contracts, managing purchase orders, ensuring timely payments, and reconciling accounts
  • Generate MIS reports, conduct market intelligence on industry trends and suppliers, and perform pricing analysis and total cost of ownership assessments to drive cost savings
  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management for the IT category, including quarterly business review meetings, creation of vendor scorecards, monitoring performance, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
  • Manage multiple IT procurement projects globally, establish and maintain effective business partner relationships at senior levels, identify sourcing risks, and ensure compliance with contract law, regulations, and SLAs

Job Purpose:

An Assistant Manager of PSAM oversees end-to-end purchasing, vendor management, and financial compliance to drive cost efficiency. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts, managing purchase orders, ensuring timely payments, and reconciling accounts. They also generate MIS reports, conduct market research, and ensure compliance with internal and statutory policies.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and organizational skills. Comfortable presentation to senior leadership.
  • Global procurement includes procuring and managing IT hardware/ software on a global scale.
  • Ability to manage several projects while ensuring deliverables are fully met on time.
  • Conduct market intelligence activities that include industry trends, suppliers, and best practices.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective business partner relationships at higher levels within the organization.
  • Ability to perform pricing analysis and evaluations of total cost of ownership and drive cost avoidance and cost savings.
  • Ability to identify risk areas associated with sourcing strategies across multiple factors including single/ sole sourced goods/services, financial, inflationary, etc.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and regulations as they relate to IT Products and services.
  • Strong knowledge of the multiple facets of negotiations, including the ability to construct negotiation plans that extend beyond price and that include legal and business contractual terms and SLAs.
  • Ability to lead Suppler Relationship Management for the IT category that includes leading Quarterly Business Review meetings, creation of scorecards that effectively monitor vendor’s performance, and defining continuous improvement opportunities to drive additional value from the partnership.
